After 15 years of writing for entertainment outlets, Melissa has written her first novel, "The Case of the Stained Stilettos (A Luce and Wilde Hollywood Mystery)."
The novel is the first in a series murder mystery that boasts the glitterati of Tinseltown embroiled in murder and mystery.
Combine Dana's husband, actor and womanizer Blaine Jeffries, her son, Mark Lathem, Mark's fiancée, Mark's ex-girlfriend, the ex's current fiancé, the District Attorney, the Chief of Police, two homicide detectives, some Hollywood hotshots, and a butler with a backstory.
Add Mercy Wilde, the couture-wearing, stiletto-sporting private investigator, her husband, suave Beverly Hills attorney Joseph Luce, and her mother, award-winning actress Francesca Wilde.
What possibly could go wrong? Plenty, of course. It's Hollywood
Join Luce and Wilde as they investigate murder in Tinseltown. The Case of The Stained Stilettos is the first in the Luce and Wilde Hollywood Mystery Series. Available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and over 200 bookstores worldwide.

In addition to her "day job," Melissa has been covering several television series for the past fifteen years.
Writing for The TV Addict, TVOvermind, Screenfad, Winchester Family Business and Merci Mercy Me, Melissa has covered all three NCIS franchises including the mothership, NCIS: New Orleans and NCIS: Los Angeles.
In addition to writing, Melissa has been a proud member of several professional organizations including the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Women in Film, Alliance for Women in Media, National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, and the Society of Professional Journalists.
Melissa laughs, "If not, it isn't because we aren't trying. They are two rescued siblings, Bogie, named after Humphrey Bogart, and Bette, named after Bette Davis. They were abandoned outside as babies and are thought to be at least 50% Maine Coon. Maine Coon cats were bred to keep ships mice-free and can grow up to be over 30 pounds. Bogie and Bette are doing their best to reach their fighting weight!"
At age 3, Melissa saw the Warner Bros. shield fly out over the sound stages and heard Dick Tufeld's disembodied "voice of God" announce "Jack L. Warner, Executive Producer."
From that moment on, Melissa knew she wanted to produce television, even before she was old enough to understand the concept.
